What are my local transportation options?

Comfort Inn & Suites is offering a special room rate. Please mention Bright Leaf Brew Fest when making your room reservations. Complementary transportation , sponsored by Barkhouser Ford Lincoln.

Bus service will be offered to the Bright Leaf Brew Fest on the day of the event beginning at 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The bus route will start at the Comfort Inn at 100 Tower Drive and will operate approximately every 30 minutes. The bus route will operate from Comfort Inn to Averett University at the intersection of West Main Street and Robertson Avenue to the Community Market.  

Additional Transportation & Reserve A Ride

In addition to the normal bus schedule, the Danville's Mass Transit System offers a convenient Reserve a Ride option. Danville residents and out of town guests staying at other locations within the City of Danville are encouraged to use “Reserve A Ride.” Make an individual or group reservation at least one day in advance by calling 434-799-5144. One-way fare to the event or back to your door is $4 per person. Service will be available during event hours to and from any location within the City of Danville. Call early to make your reservation and we suggest calling the day before to confirm your reservation.

Will there be food and non-alcoholic beverages available?

There will be several food vendors offering a variety of meal choices including sandwiches, snacks, bottled water, and soft drinks.

Is smoking allowed?

The Bright Leaf Brew Fest is a non-smoking event. However, we do offer conveniently located outdoor smoking areas. 

A tobacco vendor will be on site for those who wish to enjoy a fine cigar while taking a break from the event. You may take your sample glass into the outdoor smoking area.

What happens to intoxicated guests?

All guests of the Bright Leaf Brew Fest are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe and responsible means of transportation before leaving the event. 


Any guest who is intoxicated before entering the event, as determined by event management, will be denied entry to the event.

Can I bring my (brother, sister, son, daughter, friend, etc.) as a designated driver?

The Bright Leaf Brew Fest is a 21 and over event. The only exceptions are infants and children that can be carried.

Can I update my general admission ticket to a VIP ticket?

VIP upgrades are not available at this time.  

Where do I park?

Entrance to the VIP parking area is located between the Danville Science Center and the railroad station on Craghead Street. Show your ticket for free entrance to the VIP parking area. 

Others may park on the streets around the Community Market or in Newtons Landing lots behind Bridge Street.

Why don't you offer unlimited samples?

Virginia ABC laws prohibit unlimited samples at tasting events. However, additional sample tickets are available for purchase during the event 9 samples for $10.00. 

Do you accept credit cards or checks?

Tickets are available online through ExtremeTIX. All major credit cards are accepted.

Can I bring my child?

The Bright Leaf Brew Fest is a 21 and over event. Although not recommended, children under two years of age are allowed when carried by a parent at all times. No strollers are allowed in the facility but baby backpacks or slings are acceptable.


How can I enhance my enjoyment of the Bright Leaf Brew Fest?

Take time to enjoy the aroma and savor the flavor of your beer samples.  Drink plenty of water. Water not only cleanses your palate between your samples but keeps you hydrated.
